Dodgers’ Stults sharp, beats Rockies 6-4

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Eric Stults throws to the plate during the sixth inning of the Dodgers' 6-4 win over the Colorado Rockies in a baseball game Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Los Angeles.

Eric Stults followed batterymate Russell Martin’s instructions to the letter. And he was glad he did, because the prevailing letter for the rookie on Friday night turned out to be “K.” Stults allowed two hits and struck out nine over seven innings after getting recalled from Triple-A, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 6-4 Friday night.
