Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton (17) celebrates after making the last out on Arizona Diamondbacks' Eric Byrnes to win Game 4 of the National League Championship baseball series 6-4 Monday, in this Oct. 15, 2007, file photo, in Denver. Stoic through a decade of disappointment in Denver, Helton's passionate side started to emerge a month ago and has continued right through the Rockies' remarkable run to their first World Series.

Todd Helton hid his feelings through a decade of disappointment in Denver, his stoic expression as much a part of his image as his impossibly thick goatee. Now, the Colorado Rockies’ remarkable run to their first World Series has brought out the kid in him. “I’m not an emotional guy, but when something that significant happens, you just let ‘er go,” Helton said Friday.
