Longshot Stunt Man earned a 2 1/2 -length win Wednesday in the $75,250 More Than Ready Stakes for 3-year-olds at Belmont Park. At 11-1, Stunt Man swept past the competition at the top of the lane to earn his fourth win in 15 career starts. Javier Castellano was aboard for trainer Gary Contessa as Stunt Man ran the one mile on the fast track in 1:35.

Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert on Monday sued New York horse racing officials for suspending him from running horses at state racetracks, following a positive drug test for the Baffert-trained Medina Spirit after it won the Kentucky Derby. In a complaint filed in Brooklyn federal court, Baffert, a seven-time Kentucky Derby winner and one of the sport’s best-known figures, said the New York Racing Association (NYRA) usurped the authority of the state’s gaming commission by suspending his trainer’s license.
