Horse owner-breeder Cynthia Phipps dies from injuries from fire

Cynthia Phipps, a thoroughbred owner and breeder, died Wednesday from injuries suffered in a fire, The Jockey Club said. Phipps was 62. Phipps, daughter of the late Ogden Phipps, served as chairman of the Animal Medical Group, a veterinary hospital in New York.
