Gun Runner looks ready for rematch in Classic

After trailing the field through most of the race, Miss Shop moved up to win the $400,000 Personal Ensign Stakes by three lengths over Unbridled Belle at Saratoga Race Course on Friday. Miss Shop made her move on the outside under Javier Castellano to run down the tiring Sugar Shake, who led until the quarter pole.

Bai and Bai won the $125,000 Solana Beach Handicap for fillies and mares Saturday at Del Mar, holding off Spenditallbaby under jockey Aaron Gryder for a 1 1/2 -length victory. Fourth on the backstretch, the 4-year-old filly trained by Craig Dollase caught early leader Star Voyager approaching the sixteenth pole and pulled away for the win, covering one mile on turf in 1:34.28.

Trainer Bob Baffert was suspended for two years by Churchill Downs on Wednesday after an additional drug test of Medina Spirit confirmed the presence of the steroid betamethasone in the Kentucky Derby winner’s system.
