Saturday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Venerate won the inaugural $1,320,000 Mohawk Million by 3/4 length over favorite Donna Soprano with On a Streak third. Also on the card, Exploit won the Metro Pace, Caviart Audrey won the She’s A Great Lady Stakes on a disqualification, and Kissin in the Sand won the Milton Stakes. Silber ended an 0-for-19 skid Thursday, beating Aunt Pink by a head in the $47,800 feature race for California-bred fillies and mares at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meeting. Ridden by Corey Nakatani, Silber ran a mile on the turf course in 1:35.70 and paid $8.40, $4.40 and $3. Nakatani picked up the mount at the last minute when scheduled rider Martin Pedroza left because of personal issues.

Adrian Chip, a 3-year-old bay colt, has drawn the No. 5 post position for the finals of the $724,770 Yonkers Trot at Yonkers Raceway on Saturday. The American-born, Swedish-owned Adrian Chip won one of the eliminations in 2:01.2 on Saturday. Primary As, a 3-year-old bay colt who won the other elimination in 1:58.2, has drawn the sixth hole.
