Saturday at Del Mar, Higher Power drew away to win the Pacific Classic (G1) by 5 1/4 lengths over Draft Pick while favorite Seeking the Soul finished 7th. Also on the card, Cambier Parc won the Del Mar Oaks (G1), Acclimate won the Del Mar Handicap (G2), Mr Vargas won the Green Flash Handicap (G3), and Fighting Mad won the Torrey Pines Stakes (G3).
