Patrick Rodgers takes lead in Round 2 of the OHL Classic at MayakobaPatrick Rodgers takes lead in Round 2 of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico — Patrick Rodgers made four straight birdies to take the lead before it was too dark to continue at the storm-delayed OHL Classic at Mayakoba. Rodgers was at 11 under with three holes remaining in the second round at El Camaleon Golf Club. He was one shot ahead of Rickie Fowler, who also had three holes remaining, and Patton Kizzire, who posted a 70 for the clubhouse lead at 10-under 132. Rodgers, who was 7 under for his round when play was suspended, is one of the few players from the high school class of 2011 who is still trying to win on the PGA TOUR. Others from that class include Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Daniel Berger and Xander Schauffele. The second round is set to resume Saturday morning.

Harman, Leishman share lead at windy KapaluaHarman, Leishman share lead at windy Kapalua

Brian Harman made good on his second chip at the par-5 15th hole for an unlikely birdie, and a long two-putt birdie on the closing par 5 at Kapalua gave him a 5-under 68 and a share of the lead with Marc Leishman in the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Leishman played bogey-free and narrowly missed an eagle on the 18th hole for a 69. They were at 10-under 136 and one shot ahead of Dustin Johnson, who overcame a rough start on the Plantation Course. Johnson, the world’s No. 1 player, made back-to-back bogeys and then had to settle for par with a 7-iron for his second shot on the par-4 fifth hole. But he made seven birdies from there, none longer than 10 feet, for a 68.

Sergio Garcia gave the perfect response when asked if he’s re-watched his epic Masters meltdownSergio Garcia gave the perfect response when asked if he’s re-watched his epic Masters meltdown

The 13th at Augusta National changed Sergio Garcia’s life forever in a good way at the 2017 Masters. After a horrible tee shot, Garcia made a remarkable par save that helped lead to his first major title and he even wound up naming his first-born after the hole. Garcia made a stunning octuple-bogey 13(!) on No. 15 during his first round last month, all but ensuring his only official weekend activity at the course would be to slip the green jacket onto the eventual winner.
