Many of the world’s best players made the short commute from Shinnecock Hills to TPC River Highlands for this week’s Travelers Championship. PGA TOUR LIVE will be there to bring extended coverage of the TOUR trip to Connecticut. Justin Thomas, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka are among the big names you can watch this week in PGA TOUR LIVE’s Featured Groups coverage. The Thursday and Friday broadcasts will begin at 7 a.m. ET. Featured Holes coverage of the drivable par-4 15th and the par-3 16th will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET. PGA TOUR LIVE also can be viewed on Twitter from approximately 7 to 8:15 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, Featured Holes coverage can be viewed beginning at 1 p.m. ET on PGA TOUR LIVE. Here’s a closer look at Thursday and Friday’s Featured Groups. (Note: All times Eastern; FedExCup rankings in parentheses) THURSDAY Jason Day (4), Xander Schauffele (32), Daniel Berger (74): Day, one of six two-time winners this season, is playing with two former Rookies of the Year. Schauffele, the reigning Rookie of the Year, is coming off his second consecutive top-10 in the U.S. Open. Last year, he followed his T5 at Erin Hills with a 14th-place finish at the Travelers Championship. Schauffele has thrived on big stages, also tying for second in THE PLAYERS. Berger was on the wrong end of Jordan Spieth’s incredible bunker shot at last year’s Travelers. That hole-out came in a sudden-death playoff with Berger. Tee times: 7:50 a.m. off No. 10 on Thursday; 12:50 p.m. off No. 1 on Friday. Patrick Reed (6), Webb Simpson (9), Brooks Koepka (13): This year’s Masters, PLAYERS and U.S. Open champions are all grouped in this threesome. Koepka arrives at TPC River Highlands after becoming the first player since Curtis Strange in 1988-89 to win consecutive U.S. Opens. Reed (4th) and Simpson (T10) also finished in the top 10 at Shinnecock Hills. Simpson won THE PLAYERS by four shots. Tee times: 8 a.m. off No. 10 on Thursday; 1 p.m. off No. 1 on Friday. FRIDAY Marc Leishman (20), Jordan Spieth (38), Russell Knox (67): This group is comprised of three former Travelers champions, including defending champion Jordan Spieth. Knox won in 2016 while Leishman is the 2012 Travelers champion. Spieth won three times last season to finish second in the FedExCup, while Leishman won twice. Knox won twice in 2015-16. Tee times: 12:50 p.m. off No. 1 on Thursday; 7:50 a.m. off No. 10 on Friday. Justin Thomas (2), Bubba Watson (10), Rory McIlroy (35): These three have combined to win five times this season. Thomas, the reigning FedExCup champion, and Watson have each won two titles, while McIlroy has one win in 2017-18. Watson also is a two-time Travelers champion (2010, ’15). Tee times: 1 p.m. off No. 1 on Thursday; 8 a.m. off No. 10 on Friday.
