Jimmy Butler Expected To Play In Game 4

Jimmy Butler was a full participant in shootaround on Monday and is expected to play for the Golden State Warriors in Game 4. The Warriors enter the game with a 2-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets.

“Jimmy Butler is doing everything possible to try to play tonight in Game 4,” said Shams Charania on NBA Today. “They’re optimistic he will be able to play.”

Butler suffered a deep glute muscle contusion in the first half of Game 2. Butler has been dealing with limited mobility in addition to the pain of the injury.

Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks had something to prove on Sunday following two straight tough losses. Coming off a three-point effort in an overtime loss on Friday, Nowitzki scored all 13 of his points in the first half and Dallas gave the Los Angeles Lakers the worst loss in their history, 122-73. ”We didn’t show up to play,” Lakers coach Luke Walton said.
