Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers have yet to come to terms on a contract extension more than two months after Kawhi Leonard signed his. Leonard signed for $10 million less than his maximum.

Sources tell Marc Stein of The Stein Line that the Philadelphia 76ers “loom as an eager George suitor should he make it onto the open market.”

The Sixers are projected to have enough cap space to sign George to his max in free agency.

The widely held assumption is that George’s preference is to remain with the Clippers.
