The Charlotte Hornets have waived Kai Jones. Jones recently requested a trade from the Hornets after a series of social media posts voicing his displeasure with the franchise.
The Hornets will owe Jones $3.05 million for the season.
Jones was the 19th overall pick in the 2021 draft out of Texas.
