Wizards Hire Michael Winger Away From Clippers To Run Front Office

The Washington Wizards have hired Michael Winger as president of Monumental Basketball. Winger will have full leadership of the franchise and also oversee the WNBA Mystics and the G League Go-Go.

Winger was hired away from the Oklahoma City Thunder by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2017 and worked under Lawrence Frank. Before working with the Thunder under Sam Presti, Winger was an executive with the Cleveland Cavaliers under GM Danny Ferry from 2005 to 2010.

Trajan Langdon was also a prominent part in the Wizards’ search.
