The 22-23 All-NBA Teams have been announced headlined by Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo on the First Team.

Jaylen Brown was a Second Team selection and becomes supermax eligible with the Boston Celtics, which would allow him to sign a five-year, $295 million extension.

Ja Morant did not make one of the three teams and won’t receive the Rose rule provision on his rookie extension.

When Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was ruled out for the season on February 28, the team said they would work with him on a rehab and treatment plan for his injured left knee. A month later, it seems that a decision is finally close.

Sixers coach Nick Nurse said that Embiid is done, or close to done, meeting with specialists on how to handle his injury.

“I don’t want to speak definitively – I think he’s done seeing all the specialists,” Nurse said. “There may be one or – and those kind of turn into more discussions. I kind of just got up to speed on all of it today. But yeah, I think it’s kind of, like, decision time, and there’s so many opinions and weighing all that out and seeing exactly what’s going to happen. I think we’re close to that point of him making a decision on which route he’s going to take. Just not quite there yet.”
