Get Funky edged Relato Del Gato by a neck Saturday in the $110,000 Morvich Handicap at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meeting. Ridden by backup Martin Garcia, Get Funky covered six furlongs on the downhill turf course in 1:13.23 and paid $6, $3.80 and $2.60 as the 2-1 wagering favorite. Garcia was subbing for regular rider Jose Valdivia Jr., who was in New Jersey for the Breeders’ Cup.

El Manuel edged Kapalua Bay by a nose in the closing strides Wednesday in the $50,400 feature race at Santa Anita’s Oak Tree meeting. Ridden by Michael Baze, who had three winners on the card, El Manuel covered 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course in 1:12.57 and paid $7.40, $3.40 and $2.60. Kapalua Bay returned $2.40 and $2.20, and Artist’s Tale paid $3.40 to show.
