David Johnson ran 19 yards for a touchdown to give the Houston Texans a 7-0 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs after the first quarter in the opening game of the NFL season. The Chiefs appeared to strike first after forcing the Texans to punt and then marching downfield. Demarcus Robinson nearly hauled in a 36-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes, but the touchdown call was overturned by a video review.
