Giannis Antetokounmpo left Game 1 with a lower back contusion and will not return, the Milwaukee Bucks announced.
X-rays on Antetokounmpo’s back returned “clear,” according to Mike Budenholzer.
“We’ll monitor him and see how he wakes up [Monday],” said Budenholzer.
Antetokounmpo initially suffered the injury after taking a charge from Kevin Love in the first quarter.
Antetokounmpo briefly returned to the game in the second quarter before checking back out for good.
Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, becoming the eighth and ninth Nets player to be added to the list this week.
