Grizzlies Trade Marcus Smart, 2025 First Rounder To WizardsGrizzlies Trade Marcus Smart, 2025 First Rounder To Wizards

The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to send Marcus Smart and a 2025 first round pick to the Washington Wizards for two second round picks along with Marvin Bagley III and Johnny Davis in a multi-team trade. As part of the trade, the Sacramento Kings will send Alex Len, Colby Jones and their 2028 second round pick to the Grizzlies for Jake LaRavia.

The deal creates roster flexibility for the Grizzlies by trading out Smart and it also could allow the team to do a renegotiate-and-extend deal with Jaren Jackson Jr.

Smart appeared in 19 games with the Grizzlies this season and averaged 8.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 21.1 minutes. Smart is on a $20.2 million deal this season and $21.6 million for 25-26.
