Ex-Formula 1 stars Fernando Alonso and Kamui Kobayashi fit in “super-well” and bring “new ideas” to their Daytona 24 Hours team Wayne Taylor Racing, says their team-mate Jordan Taylor. Daytona winner and IMSA SportsCar Championship Prototype class champion in 2017, Taylor is joined in the WTR Cadillac by Alonso, Kobayashi and full-time co-driver Renger van der Zande for the season-opener this year. WTR topped two of the six ‘Roar Before the Rolex 24’ test sessions at Daytona over the weekend, and was a regular threat to ultimate pacesetter Mazda Team Joest.
