Foul play is not suspected in the disappearance of former Atlanta Braves player Otis Nixon, but authorities are continuing to search for the retired athlete, police said Monday. Nixon, 58, was last seen around 10 a.m. Saturday leaving his home in Woodstock, Georgia, about 30 miles (48 kilometers)northwest of downtown Atlanta, police said. ”Detectives are following up on leads received overnight,” Woodstock police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said Monday.

The New York Yankees plan to go to salary arbitration with reliever Dellin Betances, which would be the team’s first hearing in nearly a decade. Eligible for arbitration for the first time, Betances submitted a proposed $5 million salary last week and the Yankees filed at $3 million. ”We’re not going to reach a resolution with Dellin,” Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Thursday.
