John Daly has withdrawn from this week’s U.S. Senior Open after making a request to use a cart because of a knee injury. The USGA said Daly’s submission didn’t “support a waiver of the walking condition.” The USGA said it offered Daly the opportunity to provide additional information to support his request for a cart. He informed the USGA on Monday morning that he decided to withdraw. Daly wrote on Twitter that he suffers from osteoarthritis in his right knee and that he falls under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The USGA evaluates requests on a case-by-case basis.
