Chase Briscoe capped a heartbreaking week by winning the Xfinity Series’ return to action at Darlington Raceway on Thursday. Briscoe was in the Darlington infield Tuesday awaiting the race’s original start when he digitally joined wife, Marissa, for a 12-week exam for their expected baby. “The worst news I could’ve heard,� Briscoe posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
Formula One driver Lando Norris dominated in his virtual IndyCar debut to win Saturday’s race at virtual Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Competing for Arrow McLaren SP, Norris won from the pole with teammate Patricio O’Ward finishing second.
Supercars champion Scott McLaughlin will test next week at Circuit of the Americas in Texas prior to driving on the road course for Team Penske at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May.
