Nick Nurse gave an update on Joel Embiid ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. Nurse was positive and upbeat about Embiid’s recovery, saying doctors are “happy with the progress” the franchise’s star has made.
“I think there’s always stages of how these things progress,” Nurse said. “Everyone wants to know ‘Well how long is it going to be?” And they give a wide range because of that, because everyone heals differently. We’re just trying to take it as it comes, get him healthy and get him back when he’s ready to go.”
When asked if he believes Embiid will be ready to go before the playoffs, Nurse was positive, but cautious in his response.
“I’m still hoping so and pretty confident, yes,” Nurse said.
