Jarred Vanderbilt and the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a four-year, $48 million contract extension. Vanderbilt’s deal is fully guaranteed and includes a player option on the final season.

Vanderbilt had one season remaining on the three-year deal he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2021 offseason. Vanderbilt is set to make $4.6 million this season for the Lakers, who acquired him ahead of the trade deadline in a three-team trade.

In 26 games (24 starts) with the Lakers, Vanderbilt averaged 7.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He also started in 13 of the 15 playoff games he played for Los Angeles.
