Jordan Spieth on Thursday will begin Round 1 of the PGA Championship, and thus, officially begin his pursuit of a career Grand Slam. A rousing victory at the Open Championship gave Spieth four majors under his belt, leaving him just one major shy of the greatest accomplishment in golf.

Golf is a funny old game. Often an embarrassing one, if you’re not very good, and occasionally quite dangerous. Just ask Padraig Harrington. The three-time major champ announced on his official Twitter account Tuesday that he was withdrawing from the FedEx St.Jude Classic due to an unforeseen incident. HUMBLE, Texas — Ian Poulter won for the first time in six years on TOUR and booked his place in the Masters field with a sudden-death playoff victory over Beau Hossler on Sunday at the Houston Open. Down one on the last hole of regulation, Poulter stuck his approach to 19 feet and drained the putt to force extra holes.
