Kassian scored midway through the third period for his second straight game-winner, Talbot made 23 saves in his second consecutive shutout and the Oilers beat the San Jose Sharks 1-0 Sunday night in Game 3 of their first-round series. ”You can’t say enough about him right now,” Talbot said of Kassian.

Jay Beagle was surprised to get an early shift in overtime. The Washington center scored 19 seconds into the extra period and the Capitals rallied to beat the Dallas Stars 4-3 on Saturday night. Beagle, who has 10 goals and 20 points in his ninth NHL season, said he didn’t expect to go out for the 3-on-3 overtime.
