The Washington Redskins have re-signed tight end Vernon Davis to a three-year contract. Davis revealed the length of the deal on his Snapchat account late Tuesday night. The 33-year-old Davis revitalized his career last season with Washington, starting 14 games and catching 44 passes for 583 yards and two touchdowns.

Washington Redskins linebacker Trent Murphy has been suspended the first four games of next season for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy. Murphy is suspended without pay for the first four regular-season games, but he can participate in offseason workouts and preseason games. Murphy, 26, was second on the Redskins with nine sacks last year, trailing only Ryan Kerrigan.
