Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense has no excuse in final race

Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense closed out his career Saturday with a disappointing fourth in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at Monmouth Park. Jockey Calvin Borel had the colt perfectly positioned for a rail-skimming victory, just like his win last year in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. Street Sense, the 5-2 favorite, had a wide opening in the lane but lacked a finishing kick.
