Thrashers G Lehtonen put on injured list

The Thrashers placed goalie Kari Lehtonen on the injured list Friday after he hurt his groin in Atlanta’s first win of the season. The previous night, Lehtonen left a 5-3 victory over the New York Rangers with 8 1/2 minutes left in the first period. The team said he strained his groin, but in a different area than a similar injury that kept him out for more than two months in 2005.

Alexander Radulov and the Montreal Canadiens have gone from facing a giant hole to holding the momentum in their first-round matchup with the New York Rangers. Radulov had a goal and an assist to lead the Canadiens to a 3-1 victory over the Rangers on Sunday night, giving Montreal a 2-1 lead in the series. Artturi Lehkonen and Shea Weber scored power-play goals for Montreal, and Carey Price stopped 20 shots.
