Evans to 76ers in Nuggets’ 4-player deal

The Denver Nuggets sent forward Reggie Evans and the draft rights to forward Ricky Sanchez to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday in exchange for swingman Steven Hunter and forward Bobby Jones. The Sixers weren’t finished, agreeing to terms with free agent Calvin Booth. The 6-foot-11 center played in 44 games with Washington last season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds.

Green led the team to both of those playoff appearances and both winning seasons. However, in four years on the sidelines, Green has gone 148-179 overall.

It’s unclear where Pelicans ownership, led by Gayle Benson, stands on the futures of Griffin and Green. There has been tension in the organization in recent years. That’s arisen from transactions Griffin has made and some of Green’s playing time decisions.
