The Washington Wizards are set to sign Justin Champagnie to a four-year, $10 million contract, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.
Champagnie will earn $1.6 million for the final six weeks of the season.
The 23-year-old is averaging 7.5 points and 4.6 rebounds on the year.
Jalen Suggs will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove a cartilage fragment in his left knee, sources told Shams Charania of ESPN.
Suggs, who is expected to make a full recovery, is out indefinitely.
Suggs, Paolo Banchero, and Franz Wagner have played just 97 minutes together this season.
Suggs is averaging 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on the year.
Lester Quinones and the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a Two-Way deal. Quinones played for the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this season after spending two years with the Golden State Warriors.
In 37 games last season with the Warriors, Quinones averaged 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 10.7 minutes.
Quinones went undrafted out of Memphis in 2022.
