Kyrie Irving has been named as an injury replacement for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, taking the place of Anthony Davis and will join Team Shaq.

This is the ninth NBA All-Star selection for Irving, who is averaging 24.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the field, 40.7% from three-point range and 90.1% from the free throw line in 42 games this season.

Davis is unable to participate in the NBA All-Star Game because of a left adductor strain.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young was named as an injury replacement for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. Young will replace Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who will miss the game due to a calf strain.

Young has averaged 23.5 points and a league-leading 11.4 assists per game. This will be Young’s fourth All-Star appearance in his seven seasons.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver will also name a Western Conference injury replacement for Anthony Davis. Davis is expected to miss several weeks due to a strained adductor suffered over the weekend.
