Dru Smith has suffered a torn Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of the 24-25 season. Smith is on a Two-Way contract and was on the cusp of a standard NBA contract.
Smith had recovered from a torn ACL just over a year ago. Smith went undrafted out of Missouri in 2021.
Smith had appeared in 13 games with the Heat, averaging 6.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 20.1 minutes.
The Miami Heat are converting Keshad Johnson from a Two-Way contract to a standard NBA contract. Johnson is averaging 21.2 points and 8.3 reboudns in the G League with Sioux Falls.
Johnson has also appeared in two games with the Heat.
Johnson went undrafted in 2024 out of Arizona and is represented by Aaron Turner.
