The Los Angeles Lakers are declining the third-year option on Jalen Hood-Schifino worth $4 million for the 25-26 season. Hood-Schfino was the 17th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft out of Indiana.
Hood-Schifino will be an unrestricted free agent during the 2025 offseason. Hood-Schifino is represented by Austin Brown.
In 21 games last season with the Lakers, Hood-Schifino averaged 1.6 points and 0.6 rebounds in 5.2 minutes. Hood-Schifino underwent back surgery last March.
The Milwaukee Bucks are declining the fourth-year option on the contract of MarJon Beauchamp worth $4.8 million for the 25-26 season. Beauchamp was the No. 24 overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft.
Beauchamp will be an unrestricted free agent next offseason. Beauchamp is represented by Calvin Andrews and Rich Paul.
In 48 games last season, Beauchamp averaged 4.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.7 minutes. Beauchamp has played just 2.2 minutes over four games to start the current season with the Bucks.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed forward/center Malevy Leons. In a related move, the Thunder has waived forward/center Alex Reese. He was signed on Oct. 19 and appeared in one game.
Leons (6-9, 205) appeared in four games (one start) for Oklahoma City in the preseason and averaged 5.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.50 steals in 13.5 minutes per game. He appeared in 35 games (all starts) with the Bradley Braves in the 2023-24 collegiate season and averaged 13.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.46 blocks, 1.54 steals and 1.3 assists while shooting 49% from the floor.
