Mikal Bridges To Wait Until After Season To Discuss Contract Extension With KnicksMikal Bridges To Wait Until After Season To Discuss Contract Extension With Knicks

Mikal Bridges will wait until after this season to discuss a contract extension with the New York Knicks, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Bridges will become eligible to sign a two-year, $72.5 million extension on October 1. Bobby Marks reported last month that Bridges is unlikely to sign that extension.

Bridges is currently restricted by the league’s six-month rule where players are limited to four total years under contract during the first six month after a trade.

Bridges had two years left on his deal when he was acquired by the Knicks.

Bridges will be eligible for a four-year, $157 million extension next offseason.
