Joel Embiid, Sixers Agree To Three-Year, $193M ExtensionJoel Embiid, Sixers Agree To Three-Year, $193M Extension

Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a three-year, $193 million extension. This is the largest and longest extension Embiid is allowed to sign. The deal will bring Embiid’s contract to five years and just under $300 million in total, with a $69.1 million player option on the final season in 2028-29.

Embiid will decline his player option for the 2026-27 season. That will allow the All-NBA center to add three seasons to his deal.

Philadelphia signed Paul George to a four-year, $212 million contract this summer. The Sixers also re-signed Tyrese Maxey to a five-year, $204 million contract. With Embiid now extended, all three of the 76ers stars are under contract through at least the 2027-28 season.
