Kawhi Leonard is not expect to miss an extended period of time with back spasms. Leonard left the Los Angeles Clippers’ loss on Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves with the injury. Leonard traveled with the Clippers on their road trip. The area of concern for Leonard is in the mid-back.
“I was told, simply, it was uncomfortable for him to sit in the arena and he just went home,” said Adrian Wojnarowski. “There is not significant concern around the Clippers that this is anything that is going to linger.”
Leonard has appeared in 58 games this season, which is highest total since joining the Clippers in 2019.
D’Angelo Russell has played his way from trade candidate with the Los Angeles Lakers where his $18.7 million player option for 24-25 was viewed as a negative to a player who has more value across the NBA.
The Lakers considered trading Russell as part of a package for Dejounte Murray, but ultimately felt it was only a marginal improvement.
“And now you see D’Angelo Russell as a player who has not just value for the Lakers, but value this summer elsewhere,” said Adrian Wojnarowski.
Russell is represented by Aaron Mintz and Austin Brown of CAA.
The New York Knicks have agreed to a second 10-day contract with DaQuan Jeffries.
