The Los Angeles Lakers are planning to exercise its $4.7 million team option for Jarred Vanderbilt for next season, sources told Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
Vanderbilt averaged 7.2 points and 6.7 rebounds in 26 games with the Lakers.
Vanderbilt will be eligible for a four-year, $71 million max extension on September 7.
The Milwaukee Bucks are in “a promising position” to re-sign both Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, sources tell Marc Stein of Substack.
Middleton has been considered more likely than Lopez to remain with the Bucks after opting out of his $40 million option for 23-24.
But Stein reports that Lopez “is likewise leaning toward a Bucks return.”
Lopez is expected to receive interest from the Houston Rockets.
