In addition to winning the Farmers Insurance Open on Sunday at Torrey Pines, Justin Rose also made a big move into the top 10 of the Wyndham Rewards Top 10 standings. Rose went from 40th to 6th in the FedExCup standings. The top 10 in the standings after the Wyndham Championship — the final event of the PGA TOUR’s regular season — will receive a portion of the $10 million bonus in the new Wyndham Rewards Top 10 competition. First place after the Wyndham Championship will receive $2 million, followed by $1.5 million for second, all the way to $500,000 for 10th place, the final spot eligible for a bonus. As the reigning FedExCup champion, Rose knows full well the value of these bonus opportunities. Rose’s jump of 34 spots in the standings wasn’t the biggest of the week at the Farmers Insurance Open.
