Two-way Angels star Shohei Ohtani is expected to make his return to the mound and start on Sunday against the Astros, the club announced on Thursday. Ohtani, who is 4-1 with a 3.10 ERA in nine starts this season, has been recovering from a right ulnar collateral ligament sprain but was activated from the disabled list on July 3 to resume serving as the Angels’ designated hitter. His last start was on June 6.

Kyrgios went on to pocket 19 of the next 25 games to win 4-6, 7-6 (8/6), 6-3, 6-0, setting up a third round clash with five-time US Open champion Federer on Saturday.
