The Indians have plenty of bad memories when it comes to the Cubs, but Tuesday night did not stir any flashbacks. Ramirez saw to that in the third inning, when he launched a three-run home run off Cubs righty Tyler Chatwood to ignite a 10-1 rout for the Tribe in its first trip back to the Friendly Confines since the 2016 World Series. There is no rewriting that history, but Cleveland turned in a much more memorable box score this time around.

Dirk: “If you look at our history of drafts, where we ended up, it’s just been bad luck for the Mavs. I don’t know why. But every time we’re projected to have a high pick, we always end up the team that slips. I don’t know why that is, but anyways, that’s just how I felt that night. I was like if there’s one team slipping, of course it’s the Mavs. So, that’s why I tweeted that out, and I guess it was funny.”
