It wasn’t easy, but the D-backs grinded out a 2-1 win over the Brewers on Tuesday night to snap a six-game skid. Daniel Descalso hit a two-out single to break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning. It provided the D-backs with a positive ending to a day where they learned starting center fielder A.J. Pollock would miss four to eight weeks with a fracture in his left thumb. The D-backs also received a great outing from Zack Greinke, who threw six innings of one-run baseball. Greinke struck out five batters, walked one and finished with 104 pitches.
