Shohei Ohtani, a 23-year-old Japanese right-hander with a 100 mph fastball and devastating left-handed swing, picked the Angels over six other teams, his agent said on Friday.
Shohei Ohtani is going to the Angels. The Angels emerged on Friday as the winner of the heated competition to sign the 23-year-old two-way Japanese phenom. Ohtani’s agent, Nez Balelo, issued a statement on Ohtani’s decision to go to Anaheim.
