Old Westbury, New York – Seafood lovers can rejoice at THE NORTHERN TRUST this year, as Marc Forgione’s Lobster Press will be served at the tournament’s Taste NY Marketplace for the first time. Featuring fashion, food and do-or-die drama as the top 125 players in the FedExCup compete on a world stage, THE NORTHERN TRUST will be played at the prestigious Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York, from August 22-27, 2017. Based on Chef Marc Forgione’s now famous Chili Lobster, Lobster Press is a hot-pressed Lobster sandwich served with a side of chili lobster sauce. The lobster is handpicked every morning, and each Lobster Press contains fresh, never frozen, tail, knuckle and claw meat. “This ain’t Maine, this ain’t Connecticut…This a born and bred New York City Lobster Roll. I’m excited for golfers to try Lobster Press and continue the famous lobster roll debate at THE NORTHERN TRUST this summer!� Forgione said. Lobster Press was born out of the friendship between Chef Marc Forgione and Jordan Elkin and Brian McGovern of Homarus. Homarus provides lobster to many of the top restaurants in New York City, but Chef Forgione’s Chili Lobster has always been one of their favorite dishes using their lobster. When the opportunity arose for Marc and Homarus to collaborate on a project, they immediately came up with the idea of creating a sandwich based on their favorite decadent, spicy lobster dish. Lobster Press will be available at THE NORTHERN TRUST in the Taste NY Marketplace as part of a partnership with New York State. Located in a shaded area adjacent to the 16th fairway of the Glen Oaks Club, Taste NY will sponsor the venue and feature menu items from various iconic New York restaurants that will be announced in the lead-up to the event.
