The Boston Celtics just needed a little reminder to focus on playing instead of worrying about where they were in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. Isaiah Thomas scored 25 points, Avery Bradley had 18 with eight rebounds and the Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 109-100 on Wednesday night for their fifth win in six games. ”I think last week all we did was look at the standings,” Bradley said.

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam ”Pacman” Jones faces three misdemeanor charges, including assault, but no longer is being charged with a felony for a January confrontation with hotel security guards, police and a nurse. A felony charge of harassment with a bodily substance, for allegedly spitting at a nurse, was dismissed at the prosecuting attorney’s request, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said in a statement Wednesday. The felony charge carries a potential sentence of six to 12 months in jail upon conviction.

Russell Westbrook recorded his 35th triple-double of the season with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists and the Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a 122-97 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. The Thunder have won 16 straight games against Philadelphia, a run that stretches to the 2008-09 season, the franchise’s first in Oklahoma City. Westbrook, who made all six of his field-goal attempts and all six of his free throws, has recorded five triple-doubles against Philadelphia, his highest total against any NBA team.
