Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni wasn’t exactly thrilled with his team’s shootout win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night. ”I didn’t think we played very good,” said D’Antoni, disappointed by his club’s defensive effort as both squads set season scoring highs in Houston’s 142-130 victory. James Harden, who led Houston with 24 points and 10 assists, also acknowledged the defense could have been better.

Top-ranked Gonzaga’s quest to go undefeated this season ended under a barrage of baskets by BYU’s Eric Mika on Saturday night. Mika had 29 points and 11 rebounds, and BYU upset Gonzaga 79-71. It was the Cougars’ first victory ever over a No. 1 team, after four losses, and spoiled the Bulldogs’ perfect record in their last regular season game.

With LeBron James missing from Quicken Loans Arena, the Cleveland Cavaliers were reminded again just how tough life can be without their star. James stayed home with strep throat while Dwyane Wade scored 20 points and Jimmy Butler recorded a triple-double, leading the Chicago Bulls to a 117-99 victory Saturday night. Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue said he wasn’t sure how long the Cavaliers would be without the four-time MVP.
