PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – A total of 312 players – 156 pros and 156 amateur partners – will tee off Thursday in the first round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Among those is New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, fresh off his fifth Super Bowl win on Sunday. Belichick will partner with pro Ricky Barnes, whose father Bruce once punted for the Patriots. Barnes and Belichick have previous experience playing together in this event, and Barnes also played with quarterback Tom Brady during the 2014 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Bill Murray will also make his usual appearance at Pebble Beach, paired once again with D.A. Points. Those two took the pro-am team title in 2011 when Points won the tournament. Three courses are in the rotation – Pebble Beach, Monterey Peninsula and Spyglass Hill – and then a cut will be made after 54 holes. Rose and Timberlake have a long-time friendship that extends beyond the golf course; last November, for instance, they went on a fishing trip and landed a large Wahoo.
