The Nashville Predators signed forward Josh Langfeld to a one-year deal Tuesday. Langfeld, 30, spent last season with Detroit where he played in 33 games with the Red Wings and 38 with its AHL affiliate, Grand Rapids. He scored 32 points for Grand Rapids. He has 32 points (9 goals, 23 assists) in 141 career NHL games and has played five seasons with Ottawa, San Jose, Boston and Detroit.

Buss has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drunken driving. Buss was sentenced to five years probation Tuesday Sept. 4, 2007, and fined $1,900. He was not required to appear in court.

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss pleaded guilty to drunken driving and was sentenced to five years’ probation Tuesday. The 74-year-old Buss was ordered to take part in a first-conviction program and attend a program administered by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. He also was fined $1,900. Buss owns a home in San Diego County and was arrested in Carlsbad in May.
