Steelers WR Ward fined $5K for late hit

Pittsburgh wide receiver Hines Ward was fined $5,000 by the NFL for a late hit and unnecessary roughness in Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Ward hit cornerback Daven Holly from behind in the third quarter and was penalized 15 yards for a personal foul. The Steelers won the game 34-7. The fine was announced Friday.
