Giants’ Tyree breaks wrist, Burress hurt

One-time special teams Pro Bowler David Tyree of the New York Giants will be sidelined up to six weeks with a broken left wrist. Tyree will have surgery, coach Tom Coughlin said Monday, adding that the team was willing to keep him on the roster in hopes of getting him back. The five-year veteran was hurt Saturday during the 20-12 preseason loss to the New York Jets.

Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez’s fiancee testified in his double-murder trial Thursday that she learned to keep her mouth shut and ”not to ask any questions” in certain situations. Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez testified against Hernandez under a grant of immunity from prosecutors. Hernandez, a former tight end for the New England Patriots, is accused of fatally shooting two men in Boston in July 2012 after an encounter at a Boston nightclub.
